EN 50600 Data Center Design Classes

Availability requirements range from Class 1, representing basic infrastructure with limited redundancy, through Classes 2 and 3, which introduce increasing levels of redundancy and maintainability, to Class 4, targeting highly resilient and fault-tolerant mission-critical facilities.

A successful EN 50600-based design requires an integrated engineering approach covering site and building infrastructure, electrical power distribution, cooling, telecommunications cabling, physical security, monitoring, and operational processes.
